Wow did I publish thing way late in the week! Sorry about that, friends.
The Week 4 MAC Pick ‘Em is here though, so let’s look at what’s on tap as the non-conference season starts to wind down.
Aside from the 10 MAC vs. FBS games scheduled, Toledo at Ball State should get your attention as well. In this week’s Pick ‘Em, we start to have some fun with player-specific guesses by looking at the game’s receivers.
WEEK 3 RESULTS & LEADERBOARD
RESULTS
I, personally, suck at this stupid game and I feel like quitting. Unfortunately I’m just not in a position where I can just say “fuck this stupid shit” and not log on anymore, so I’m going to embrace my place in the universe and finish in maybe 11th place by season’s end.
The Colorado State win over Toledo stumped me and most others that joined the pool last week. I was also feeling mean last week, so I picked Akron and BG to lose to their FCS teams (they won) and WMU to lose at Pitt (WMU won, but this wasn’t an unpopular pick either). Nobody in the pool bit for NIU at Michigan.

Note: I know I’m late, my bad. Still, please get your picks in before games kick off on Saturday. I’ll get the Week 5 post up on Monday.
Good luck on your picks!
MY PICKS: WEEK 4
PICK ALL OF THE MAC TEAMS THAT WILL WIN THEIR GAMES THIS WEEK
Picked winners: Buffalo (@ Old Dominion), CMU (vs. FIU), EMU (vs. Texas State), NIU (vs. Maine), Toledo (@ Ball State)
I’m picking Toledo to beat Ball State, but honestly I wouldn’t feel too great about picking Ball State to win this huge home game right now either. EMU has a shot at disappointing in their home game this weekend too against Texas State, so I don’t think that’s as much of a slam-dunk pick as NIU over Maine is.
Losses (unchecked): Akron (@ Ohio State), Ball State (vs. Toledo), BGSU (@ Minnesota), Kent State (@ Maryland), Miami (@ Army), Ohio (@ Northwestern)
D.J. Irons says he’s ready for the Buckeyes but, uh, yeah good luck with that. I know people are going to be picking Kent State to upset Maryland, but we simply haven’t seen enough from Kent to say that’s worth the argument. Army’s offense is actually really good this year, so expect some points to be scored against the RedHawks this weekend.
DOUBLE OR TRIPLE?
These are the three games I feel most confident in:
- Akron (@ Ohio State) — loss
- BGSU (@ Minnesota) — loss
- NIU (vs. Maine) — win
WHO WILL LEAD BALL STATE VS. TOLEDO IN RECEIVING YARDS?
I’m going with Devin Maddox of Toledo, who is currently second in the MAC in receiving yards with 254.
