Boomin University

When Tampa Bay’s starting offense read off their alma maters for NBC’s presentation in Thursday night’s season-opening game at Dallas, former Central Michigan receiver Antonio Brown didn’t say what you were expecting to hear.

“Antonio Brown. Boomin’ University”

That’s, uh, one way for Brown to further his personal brand. Many football fans are very well aware that he came from CMU, but saying “Boomin University” makes me wonder. Is Brown saying that CMU is boomin’? Or is Brown deliberately not want to give CMU some shine and this is the best thing he could come up with? Or, maybe Boomin University has nothing to do with his actual college affiliation, and it’s actually just a metaphor for everything else that’s taught him?
