Former EMU lineman is with his fourth team since last year’s graduation.
Former Eastern Michigan footballer Ka’John Armstrong signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced.
Armstrong first signed with (and later waved by) the Cleveland Browns last year as an undrafted free agent, then had short stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos. Earlier this week, Armstrong and former Western Michigan lineman (and 4th-round, 2016 draftee) Willie Beavers were both brought into Atlanta for a workout with the Falcons, and the team announced the signing of only one of those two today.
Armstrong was one of Chris Crieghton’s first recruits he was able to get to commit to EMU. A Detroit native and Loyola HS graduate, Armstrong played in 43 games for Eastern, and started 12 times.
